<Students and graduates from YU who were finally selected as probationary employees in 2022 National Job Level 7 Test for Local Talents>


YU (President CHOI Oe-chool) produced 9 successful applicants in 2022 National Job Level 7 Test for Local Talents. It is the largest number in whole colleges.


  Recently, Ministry of Personnel Management announced a list of 161 successful applicants (100 administrative and 61 technical jobs) in 2022 National Job Level 7 Test. Among them, 9 persons (6 administrative and 3 technical jobs) from YU took the largest share in whole colleges. Successful applicants from YU consist of JANG Jun-gyoo (Graduate from Department of Public Administration), KIM Na-yeon, KIM Su-hyeon, and RHYU Hyeon-ji (4th grade of Department of Public Administration), LEE Ye-lin (Graduate from Department of Media and Information Studies), and CHOI Eun-hee (Graduate from Department of Korean Language and Literature) for administrative jobs and KIM Kwang-il (4th grade of Faculty of Chemical Engineering), SEOK Dong-heon, and LEE Kyeong-seo (Graduate from Faculty of Chemical Engineering) for technical jobs.


  Last year, YU produced 7 successful applicants, the largest number in the colleges in Gyeongbuk Area. Successful applicants for recent 5 years reaches 32 persons. YU has been showing the highest competitiveness level in National Job Level 7 Test for Local Talents.YU makes systematic and active support through an exclusive unit (College Job Plus Center) at the level of YU. YU takes care of students in the whole selection process, from the recruiting stage of college recommendees to written tests and interviews. This year, whole 9 applicants for interviews are included in the successful applicant list.


   KIM Na-yeon, a graduate-to-be from Department of Public Administration in February next year, said, “From a low grade, I have been interested in the National Job Level 7 Test for local talents. I heard about National Job Level 7 for local talents supported by YU and established the goal and made the preparations early in time. Gradual preparations I made for a long time under the guide by tutor Prof. SEONG Do-gyeong gave me psychological stability for the test as well as learning. Especially, PAST education course provided by Prof. SEONG Do-gyeong in every vacation was highly helpful. I’d like to recommend the students who prepare for public official exam to participate in such program.”


YU recruits applicants for National Job Level 7 Test for Local Talents, prepares lectures for written tests and interviews, and allocates exclusive professor tutors, every year. Also, YU supports mock exams and studies for written tests through College Job Plus Center and provides meetings with previous successful applicants for students to prepare for interviews.


  Director JEONG Jin-yeong of College Job Plus Center said, “YU shows high grades every year because it makes systematic support in every course from recruiting to public official aptitude tests and interviews for final pass in order to help students practically. The students interested in public officials may be highly supported by the programs operated by YU. YU College Job Plus Center also operates various tailored programs for employment and career guidance for general enterprises and public agencies, etc. We will make actively support students to find suitable careers to meet their aptitude and to be employed by intended agencies.”


  National Job Level 7 Test for Local Talents was provided in 2005 in order to strengthen local representativeness of official jobs by employing local talents uniformly. Qualified students and graduates recommended by colleges are selected through written tests (PAST and the Constitution), career paper review, and interviews under management by the Ministry of Personnel Management. Successful applicants in this year will complete basic education for adaption to public officials and enhancement of job capability in the first half of next year and will work as trainees in each central administrative agency. The training period is about one year and, after completion of the period, they will be employed as regular level 7 public officials.
